Cam gives touchdown ball to Auburn fan
From Spencer Lee: “It’s a clip of one of my best friends and his autistic son getting a TD ball from Cam this past Sunday. So very cool in any regards but if you knew the tough times this family – and particularly this boy – have gone through, it makes it all the more heart warming.”

Thanks Mark. This clip is the perfect way to send out 2012 (since our return to gridiron glory has been postponed by a year). Happy New Year to all the Auburner Family out there! Be safe and WDE!

Brought a tear to my eye. People can trash talk Cam all they want, but I still think of him as the guy that visisted the elementary school every week to check in with the students. I’m so glad he is doing well. War Damn Panthers!

He’s always seemed like a class act to me and I love seeing stuff like this. As much as people want to put him down, he just pulls himself up by thinking of others and giving back. Go Cam!!

To those willing to see Cam as a real person and not some object of fan-driven derision, he is a big hearted guy that is still only around 23. That’s still a very young man in my book (since I’m 22 years older than that myself). Apart from a couple of post game press conferences this year where he either let frustration or some immaturity show through, he’s handled himself exceptionally well since leaving UF.

This fellow has single handedly sparked my interest in the Panthers. I generally follow some college players careers to varying degrees just to see how they do at the next level but when it comes to the NFL, It’s Raiders or nothing for me. But I really want to see this guy succeed by doing things the right way and with class…..

Ditto here Big Swoll from my little enclave of Raider Nation in Lee County. :)

Cam will have to be very successful to better his image.
With success comes advertising opportunities, with advertisements comes better public relations. This is where opinion of him changes.
With that, he must continue his moral engagements.
This will add to the betterment of himself and the world around him.
He seems to be on the right path.

Agree on all counts JCMac…with one add on – even with greater success and accomplishments on the field he needs to keep up the improved demeanor in the post game press conference and other public engagements or he will be labeled a malcontent, aloof non-leader (see Alan Iverson). He’s better than that.
