Gotta LOVE the quadruple option! :)

I’d like to see the self pass win a game this season.

Speaking of this season, I just noticed that 6 of the season’s last 8 opponents are ranked in the pre-season polls.

Indeed the SEC Home Office didn’t do us any favors with the schedule. Then we had already added K State who turns out to be a formidable team – or is expected to be. Of course we shouldn’t expect any favors from the SEC Home Office anyway. We’ll know what kind of team we have fairly early.

I joined Pick’em. I have no idea what I’m doing. Sounds like fun! :)

  5. JCMac Says:

None of us know do TDog.

  6. Spencer Lee Says:

So true…it’s a crap shoot wrapped in a fancy website. :)

Lol…well, I made my pics, with one major upset that I “could” see happening.
I do not put a lot of stock in preseason polls, since they’ve never really done anything but mess stuff up and fluff up teams that have no right to be placed on a pedestal (I’m looking at you Bama), so I’m going to do my own preseason thoughts, because I’m beyond excited to start the season.

I’m kinda/kinda not shocked that Bama is #2. I have a feeling their QB situation will leave them floundering a bit, and I could see them losing two or three games (LSU, AU and I’m throwing UT in there just to the pure hatred of Kiffin and playing at home in a spectacular Rudy/We Are Marshall Moment).

The East will be won by Mizzou again. No one is paying them any respect and Mauk will only be better, and I consider one of the only few returning QBs. Plus, their schedule is very friendly.

I do not understand the pollsters fascination with S.Car and UGA. I just don’t get it. I can see more love for UGA due to Gurley and other key players returning, but I just don’t get SCar. At. All.

You can’t argue with the data – *”The data shows that the expert pundits are faring no better than a bare-assed ape throwing darts at a list of college football teams.”

This is why we play the games and this is why we love college football.

Good one Ft. Worth John! Laughed at that one!

Joined the pick ‘em. Expect to have another mediocre season in the fantasy football challenge!

So, I’m watching the SEC Network last night and two guys are going over what SEC teams will have the best RB’s this year…of course one was McElroy, and WHAT A SURPRISE…picks ALA the best team based on RB’s and picks us 5th ! Talking Heads are bad, but when they are x Bama QB’s, it is twice as bad ! He is still pissed about the little guy (#22, name escapes me) that threw him around like a rag doll in the 2010 game. He was seeing tweety birds after that..and of course the late great Lutzenkirken finished them off in that great game !

  12. Tdog Says:

Alabama’s RB’s will probably have some decent numbers, since they will be running the ball every 4 out of 5 plays. But that will only last so long, before injury after hitting a wall a gabillion (scientific number folks) times.

  13. JC in FLA Says:

I can’t wait to see THE ROC ! Someone commented the other day he is a faster version of Cadillac … WOW, scary (for opponents)

Walt, a very good post at College and Mag today!

I got to see “Bo, Barkley and The Big Hurt” last night and it is very good. I was fortunate to have seen all 3 play in person at Auburn. Incredible trio of athletes and Auburn men. It will be airing on the SEC Net and other espn channels. It’s only an hour long – it could it have been a 12 part mini-series.

  16. Walt Says:

Thanks, MCT! I assume you mean the “Damnatio Memoriae” article? It’s an impossible dream, but one I wish we could achieve. Link is below:

The “Bo, Barkley, and The Big Hurt” special was very well done. SEC Network will be excellent at that type of thing. Not sure about much else.

From “Sports Illustrated’s” Hot Clicks page today…

It’s Too Easy to Make Fun Of Bama Fans

We’ve been featuring Bama a lot on Hot Clicks lately, but that’s because Bama fans are the gift that keeps on giving. Just look at this beautiful fan trailer. That spray paint reads “Home of a Crimson Tide,” blissfully uncaring about any grammatical issues. The icing on the cake is probably that DIRECTV satellite attached to the mailbox. We love you Bama, don’t ever change.

I’m trying to decide if I’m going to do the pick’em, this year. I’m going to have so many things on my mind that I don’t know if I’ll be able to constantly remember to update it.

  19. JCMac Says:

Walt, it won’t be the same without you… and by that I mean, my chances of winning will go up considerably if you don’t sign up. :)

  20. Walt Says:

Oh I haven’t sniffed the top of the leaderboard in these things, so your chances won’t be affected at all
