I am tired of this moving stuff… I could use a cookie!!!
July 8th, 2010 at 6:31 am
Wow. Just… wow. I couldn’t stop laughing through the entire stop-motion cookie video. What in the world gave you THAT idea?

Every yard Todd got in that vid should be multiplied by 4 according to the Newton Conversion Factor, effective immediately. This factor also does not allow for sacks. I also appreciated the fact that you allowed Meat Loaf to finish the song even after the video was complete.

The Cookie video was good. I didn’t realize that if you set cooking to inspirational music it seems more uplifting.

The Cookie video – EPIC! :)
The 1st half video, only makes me yearn for the rematch! WDE!

does anyone know if there is an Auburn radio affiliate that can reach Orlando, FL… Can’t miss the games this season…
July 10th, 2010 at 1:52 pm
Last year, ESPN360 covered most Auburn games that weren’t on national TV. If your cable provider doesn’t offer ESPN360, you can buy a friend or relative in Alabama a Slingbox. I hear you can get those used for a pretty good price.
July 10th, 2010 at 3:53 pm
You’ll also be able to watch ESPN3 (formerly 360) games on XBox Live this fall if you’ve got a Box.

JCMac, I have family in Orlando and they have always said the coverage of teams beyond UF, FSU and UM is woeful. Thankfully there’s technology to save you from “local” sports.
July 10th, 2010 at 6:30 pm
thanks guys… all new and good ideas…
July 10th, 2010 at 6:55 pm
I’m right there with ya JCMac, lol. I’ll be stuck with whatever games AFN decides to show. Which, to be fare, was most of Auburn’s games in 2006 when I was last overseas. So hopefully I’ll still be able to catch all the ones on national TV. Although I don’t know what my work schedule will be like this time around. When I was in Iraq I volunteered to work the night shift so that I could watch football without missing out on sleep.
July 10th, 2010 at 7:42 pm
Wow. I just realized I used the wrong spelling of the word “fair.” Oh well, that’s what I get for not looking over what I typed before hitting “submit.”
July 10th, 2010 at 8:34 pm
I am sure there are some basic differences between Iraq and Florida… so you definately got the crap end of the stick there….
well the plan before talking to you guys was having my parents hook up the skype close to the tv or radio… that still might stick, but I am exploring the previous suggestions…
July 10th, 2010 at 9:48 pm
Well this time around I’ll be in Kosovo, so nowhere near as bad as a deal. But yeah, these suggestions should work a lot better than skype. There will be ways to watch most of the games. Maybe not all of them, but definitely most of them.

here’s another photo of Coach Chizik.

Hey JCMac and Walt, there’s also that SEC link that shows all 12 schools’ games in their entirety on a delay which is archived the whole season. The actual website escapes me but previous discussion on The Auburner included this…in fact – Walt I think you dug the thing up to begin with. :)
July 11th, 2010 at 8:04 pm
yeah I watched some of the replays… it is done by the SEC…
by the way I have basic cable down here… and it is 220 channels… basic cable usually consist of like 74 channels… and guess what, in those 220 channels there is no ESPN 3… but there is an ESPN Desportes (yeah figured)…
July 12th, 2010 at 6:10 am
ESPN3 is entirely an internet thing. That’s why you wouldn’t be able to find it.

I live in Central Florida and it is extrememly bias toward the Gaytors….almost like it’s the States team (like Dallas being America’s team…BS !!)
I’m sure the panhandle has mostly FSU coverage and South FLA with the Canes, but really get sick of hearing about the lizards here !
July 12th, 2010 at 11:39 am
where abouts do you live JC?
July 12th, 2010 at 7:34 pm
don’t look for the coverage to change any time too soon in Central FL. My family down there (which includes big time AU, UF and UAT fans within it) all concur….Orlando coverage is nearly all Gaytor.
July 12th, 2010 at 8:56 pm
I have a lot of sport channel outlets… I would assume some of them would cater to other SEC/ACC fans… but I wouldn’t be suprised to see the gators on 3-4 of these channels at the same time…

I am in Melbourne, FL (east coast) about 45 minutes south of the shuttle launch pads.
July 13th, 2010 at 12:07 pm
I just came across this video today… not related to Auburn, but it does relate to a certain topic I’ve brought up more than once. Namely, my hatred of all things Furple. Funny video.

gotcha, I just moved down to Oviedo last week.. I like it so far… I’m guessing I am 45 minutes West from where shuttles would launch…
July 14th, 2010 at 6:48 am
So basically the two JC’s are about 63.69 odd minutes drive from each other. Sorry had to do it. :-))
July 14th, 2010 at 7:18 am
JC Mac, that is about right…I worked in Oveido area yrs ago…only 2 launches left…you should plan to go see one…is something to see ! YES, JC’s are about that far apart Michiana Tiger.
July 14th, 2010 at 10:31 am
I really do want to see a launch… I think there is one coming up in February… I’d like it to be a night launch, but I’ll take what I can get….
Something else I am looking forward to is the Auburn Tigers coming down to the swamp again in about 2.3 years… I went to the Swamp in 2007 and it was hilarious to see all these Gators stand in schock for about 10 minutes after Auburn beat them twice in one game…
but props to gator fans, they have the most intimidating atmosphere I have ever seen… to me, it beats LSU, TN, and GA… the only time I have heard a stadium being as close to that loud is AU v. FL 2006 and the Iron Bowl 2005…
July 14th, 2010 at 10:33 am
on a sidenote… Michiana if that map time included toll roads you can forget it… I have been here for less than a week… and those things have already become the BANE of my existence..
July 14th, 2010 at 12:20 pm
JCMac, not sure about another night launch…think they are done with those, but impressive no matter. Yes, we love our toll roads don’t we? Guess with no state tax we must make the money other ways. Yes, I see AU plays UF starting again next year…first one is in Gods country, so that will help…maybe Cam Newton can provide paybacks to his former team ! Best time I had in the Swamp was in ’94…my bro is a Gaytor grad and we drove the 3 hrs from Melboure to Gainesville…him bragging all the way since they were # 1…Terry Bowden put one on them and Spurrier was livid on the sidelines with about 6 interceptions between his two QB’s. WAS GLORIOUS and the bro said about 2 words all the way back home !
July 14th, 2010 at 2:05 pm
I still remember that game too… and I was in 4th grade…
July 14th, 2010 at 8:42 pm
…and I was 2 years out of Grad School…geez, makes me feel old. ;)

I’m not a big cookie man, but I’d eat those cookies.
Watching that video filled me with hunger of an epic proportion!
