Instead of answering these questions by replying (like a normal person), I have opted to respond to this in an “Ask the Auburner” style article.
First and foremost,
I don’t trust Phillip Fulmer nor his Volunteer squad over at the University
of Tennessee. This may not be fair, but I rank Phillip Fulmer as one of the
most evil beings of the world, live or dead. Here are the rankings:
1) Satan
2) Adolph Hitler
3) Joseph Stalin
4) Phillip Fulmer
5) Queen Latifah
I feel serious moral and ethical inconsistencies in rooting for Tennessee. I can’t help but think of the logic behind rooting for Fulmer:
Fulmer borrows
power from the devil to win in football,
I root for Fulmer this Saturday because a win for Tennessee is a win for Auburn,
Therefore I will have indirectly utilized the power of the devil for personal
gain.
All we can do is hope… and repent.
As far as Arkansas goes, I think they should be pretty happy with their #11 ranking with only 1 win against a team with a pulse. Arkansas fans will have their chance to earn some hype if they win against Tennessee and LSU. But at the moment, I don’t believe that Arkansas is a top 10 team considering how Auburn plays against teams that aren’t ranked. But should Arkansas win out, then they are the real thing. They will have played a schedule as hard as Auburn’s, along with beating Auburn in Auburn. If Arkansas wins out, they deserve to be in the SEC Championship.
Now to the fun
part: PREDICTIONS!
Tennessee @ Arkansas: Volunteer fans are worried about not having their starting
runningback (Arian Foster-arrested) nor their starting quarterback (Eric Ainge-Injury).
I, for one, am actually relieved that Ainge isn’t playing, because he
is a train-wreck waiting to happen. Put someone else in there who is still
trying to prove something. Now I want with all of my heart for Arkansas to
lose, but I’m pretty sure that Tennessee will blow it. Everything is
going in Arkansas’ favor for this one. Hogs win 24-17. Here’s
hoping I’m wrong!
Georgia @ Auburn: Auburn, as well as the world, is looking past this game. Auburn students are bailing out of town to do “more important things” and are assuming that because Georgia has fallen off the face of the earth, this will be a blowout. Suddenly, this game has become a lose-lose situation for Auburn. Auburn could show up and blow out Georgia, yet would receive no credit nor praise because Georgia in all of its efforts is KILLING our strength of schedule. What will more likely happen, is that Auburn will turn in another sleep-walk performance and keep this game interesting until the end. I see Auburn winning in another all-too-close 28-23 win.
Big East vs.
the world: The Big East will be exposed as a bush-league conference! Here’s
the schedule that West Virginia had going into their “epic” battle
against Louisville:
1) Marshall
2) East Washington
3) Maryland
4) East Carolina
5) Mississippi State
6) Syacuse
7) Uconn
If anyone in the top 25 were to lose to any of these teams, they’d be
kicked out of the NCAA. People would argue that the Big East isn’t just
a “Two-team-conference anymore.” Well then what is it? There are
three competent teams among a slew of teams that wouldn’t get a win
in any other major conference. I thought the Pac-10 was bad. Every Pac-10
team would have a winning record, if not an undefeated record, in the Big
East. What about Rutgers? They are undefeated… what powerhouses did
they knock off to get to the top?
1) UNC
2) Illinois
3) Ohio
4) Howard (The University, not that guy you know)
5) South Florida
6) Navy
7) Pittsburgh
8) Uconn
Whoever they play in their bowl, is going to kill them. Louisville, is actually good though. The Big East is a One team conference and that is final.
LSU @ Arkansas: LSU is going to hold onto the ball for once, and kill Arkansas.
Auburn @ Alabama:
That’s an entire article in itself.
