Chizik Joke Suggestion

As expected, there have been some growing pains associated with being a fan of a team with a new football coach. For example, Auburn's new head coach commonly wears a gold necklace. For years, I made fun of Mike Shula for doing the exact same thing. I must now apologize to Coach Shula since I can no longer consider this to be an effeminate thing to do.

The necklace isn't a big deal. However, Gene Chizik's apparent total lack of humor does bother me. The lack of humor is somewhat cool and fitting because he does look like a early model Terminator with fake, rubbery looking skin. However, humor is something greatly needed in an Auburn football coach. Even though Pat Dye, Terry Bowden and Tommy Tuberville had three very different personalities and coaching styles, they could all tell a good joke. I expect the same from Chizik. He needs to be programmed with some original jokes. Passing off old recycled Clinton jokes as things that happened to himself just won't do.

Here's one suggestion I have for Chizik...

Unfortunately, this joke can only be used when speaking to an audience of people who are well versed in; Charles Barkley scandals of the 1990s, conservative economic theory, and current political events. A better idea might be fore Chizik to just leave the jokes to Trooper Taylor or Curtis Luper.
